Richard Williams is a disreputable man who took to sabbing in the Warwickshire area. Little is known about Williams’ current whereabouts since he went into hiding after an altercation in January 2020 with the Warwickshire hunt. Fortunately, the altercation was recorded by one of the hunt stewards and reveals Williams’ darker side.
Trespassing on private land during a hunt, Williams was rightly asked to leave by two stewards. In line with other sabs, he reacted aggressively. Worse still, however, were his threatening claims and behaviour...
Undeniable footage shows Williams, sab-mask off, accosting a steward and shouting in anger: “I just got out of jail for f****** murder, and I’ll f****** go back again.” In the same video, one cannot fail to hear the steward in panic asking Williams to stop touching her, further indicating assault.
On the same day, Warwickshire Police were called to investigate these alleged incidents of assault, as reported in a Telegraph article that at that time was yet to identify Williams.
We are forced to wonder where Williams’ disturbing claims originate, given this snapshot into his character implicates a worrying level of criminality.
Ever since, Williams has gone deep into hiding, making himself near impossible to track down by hiding social media presences. Immediately after the incident, his Facebook was sanitized then deleted, though some digital footprint remains:
Williams has not been seen with West Midland Hunt Sabs since, but remains an ardently disillusioned activist. One trace of WIlliams’ online presence survives in the form of an infrequently attended Quora account. Here, Williams can continue to express his morally perverted views:
For Williams, it seems eating a steak or making leather is worse than prejudice, slavery, hate-speech, and all the other inhuman and immoral acts which fit under the umbrella of racism.
Richard Williams is another product of delusion, dedicating his time and criminal tendecies to morally flawed extreme views. However, even more disturbing are his aggressive threats, assault, and claims to criminal acts. He is another damning example of the types of people the hunt saboteur community attracts and a clear danger to those who disagree with his views.
