Martin Sloan, a sab with the Surrey Hunt Saboteurs, has recently been captured in a video getting involved in the aftermath of a violent altercation.
Two saboteurs found themselves headlocking and gripping a hunt member, having thrown his riding helmet and whip into the bushes. The identify of these two saboteurs is not known, and Behind the Masks would welcome all information on them.
The video clearly shows two sabs tussling and trying to overpower a huntsman. Three other members of the hunt are verbally appealing to the sabs to leave the member alone – but importantly – are not physically aggressive. The remaining saboteurs are grouped around the scene. Interestingly, they have a clear look of guilt. It is apparent that they know their group has done wrong – it is simply a shame that they cannot admit this. The huntsmen who was assaulted appeared shaken but ok. It is evident from the video that he was only trying to close a gate – something that is harmless and his right on private land.
