Luke Tucker

Location: Northamptonshire

Affiliations: Northants Hunt Sabs, Hertfordshire Hunt Sabs, Stockport Monitors

Lardy lad Luke Tucker is a ringleader of the Northants Hunt Sabs, known for their regular harassment of the Cottesmore Hunt, in league with other sab groups including the Hertfordshire Hunt Sabs and the infamous Stockport Monitors.

Tucker’s time may be finally up, however, as on Wednesday 18th December 2024 he received a £1,000 fine from Northampton Magistrates Court for aggravated trespass while bothering the Cottesmore. He initially entered a plea of ‘not guilty’ before being found bang to rights and tasked with paying a further £2,800 for wasting the time of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

BTM hears that the magistrate didn’t hold back in reprimanding Tucker for his criminal behaviour. Any witnesses to the sentencing are asked to please get in touch via either email or WhatsApp message.

Bad Company

Tucker is a stalwart of the virulent Northants Hunt Sabs group, which has at various points welcomed into its ranks the vaccine conspiracy theorist Neal Buckoke, the death threat hurling Marc Shaw,  criminal trespasser Agnieszka Grabowicz, and Grand National disrupter Bernadette Green.

Tucker has also been close to ageing sab leader Clive Richardson. However, the two reportedly fell out a few years ago over differing views on sabbing techniques, as well as Tucker’s continued friendship with convicted arsonist Mel Broughton.

Broughton is best known for firebombing a pavilion at Queen’s College Oxford leading to his imprisonment in 2010 for conspiracy to commit arson. Tucker’s loyalty to Broughton allegedly led to a schism in the Northants sab group and the formation of the breakaway East Northants Sabs.

By December 2021, however, it appeared that Tucker and Richardson had buried the hatchet as the elderly Richardson rode to Tucker’s rescue after his Land Rover got stuck in a ditch. Eyewitnesses say the pair were unable to rescue the Landy and had to ride back in a blue minibus belonging to the Northants sabs.

In February 2022, hunt groups reported that Tucker had broken his arm in a car accident – potentially the same Land Rover incident from December. However his group was still willing to offer transport to the stranded Hertfordshire Hunt Saboteurs to go bother the Cottesmore.

Tucker himself, it was reported, would only turn up to hunts with the support of the thugs from the infamous Stockport Monitors. The group was then led by convicted criminal Paul Allman, who in 2023 was sentenced to 20 weeks imprisonment for assaulting members of the Wynnstay Hunt and in 2022 was arrested for assaulting a 15-year-old girl.

With friends like these, Tucker hardly needs any enemies. Yet he tries his hardest to make them all the same.

Admission of Guilt

All this bad company has clearly rubbed off on Tucker. In March 2023, he was filmed by huntsman Gary Thorpe admitting that his group was disrupting a legal trail hunt. Thorpe told Tucker that he had seen members of the Northants group apparently spraying hounds with citronella: a chemical that is known to be harmful to wildlife and which sabs use to throw hounds of the scent.

“I personally thought it was a trail back there,” admitted Tucker, confessing that his group are not interested in enforcing the law but merely aggravating legal trail hunts for their own enjoyment.
