Joe Johnson is a keen member of the notoriously aggressive and violent Stockport Monitors, patronised by convicted criminal Paul Allman. Posting shamelessly about their antics on his Facebook page, Johnson claimed in July 2020 that the Stockport Monitors go sabbing “for nothing but the love of animals”.
This is clearly not true.
In 2019, Allman and four other masked aggressors blocked the entrance to the home of a 31-year-old mother, Rebekah Uden, terrifying her in the process. Uden, who lives in Trefant, north Wales, was with her 10 and 13-year-old children at the time and had never been near a hunt in her life.
‘'I'm not a fox hunter, I've never hunted in my life. But they're using fox hunting as a smokescreen to cause trouble. They're nothing more than thugs," said Uden.
In the same year, Allman was also convicted of assault against the Master of a Hunt, for an incident which took place in Cheshire in 2018.
A video from December 2019, which shows the Stockport Monitors entering a rural pub in Cheshire, clad in balaclavas and ski-masks, to harass and intimidate both staff and customers, blatantly shows they only want to intimidate and stir trouble in rural communities.
Johnson is an enthusiastic member of this “animal loving” gang and is certainly no stranger to donning the trademark ski-mask of the bunny-hugging brigade.
Meanwhile, Johnson’s diet of cheap meat calls into further question his concern for animal welfare:
Sadly, the behavior of the Stockport mafia has only worsened over time. In January 2022, five Stockport Monitors, including Allman and his son, were arrested and charged with assaulting a group of three innocent bystanders, including one 15-year-old girl, near a hunt in Oakham, Rutland. According to the victims' reports, Allman pushed two of the trio around and punched the third, a 61-year-old man, in the face.
These five “animal lovers” were charged with “using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour to cause harassment/alarm/distress.” In August 2022, the group were all handed suspended sentences for public order offences.
In August 2023, Allman was sentenced to 20 weeks in custody after violently attacking two members of the Wynnstay Hunt in Cuddlington, Cheshire, as the head of a ‘baying mob’, which may have included Johnson. Allman broke the jaw of one man and injured the eardrum of the other.
More images posted on Johnson’s Facebook profile document the Stockport monitor’s menacing aura, depicting them traipsing around the countryside, looking for trouble.
In their matching black uniforms, Johnson and co look like paramilitary mercenaries, or at least cosplaying versions of that, who take orders from their violent leader, Paul Allman.
When he’s not sabbing Johnson works for “Transformgardenlandscapes”. Based on the company’s Facebook page, no garden or landscape appears to have been transformed since February 2022.
This is probably because Johnson is too preoccupied with threatening legal trail hunts.
